Burger Planet

Supports Healthy, Active Lifestyles
The company, Burger Planet, supports its customers in choosing to be healthier by eating Burger Planet’s healthy menu options. According to an article published on Ezine Articles, “The growing trend ... is ... that people want healthy fast food chains.” In recent years, fast food chains all over the country have added healthier food options to their menus to accommodate their consumer’s needs. Burger Planet has recently added gourmet salads, fruit packages, white meat chicken breasts, and “bunless” burger options to become a healthy fast food chain.
Burger Planet’s goal is to have people of all ages eat Burger Planet food but is concerned that women from ages 30 to 40 have stopped eating it. These women are concerned that they will gain excess weight by eating Burger Planet food, which does happen in some cases. However, Burger Planet is hiring fitness guru, Jayne Petersen, as their spokesperson who emphasizes moderation and says, “Women can have a burger and fries now and then as long as they are active and also try some of Burger Planet's exciting new menu choices, such as the fruit packages."
In February 2010, Burger Planet is going to issue a press release about its healthy menu options and the hire of Jayne Petersen, which will hopefully draw middle-aged women to Burger Planet. Also, Burger Planet wants to increase its revenues up ten percent by December 2010.

I liked the use of quotes, the reference sheet also looks good. It seems like the paper is being written from someone outside of Burger Planet. I would consider writing with a voice that is direct and represents the marketing department in charge of the campaign.
ReplyDeleteGreat good with your paper. I think that you should have a few more references on your reference sheet. I liked the quotes you used. I would take a more direct approach when doing your position paper, take out all the fluff and get straight to the benefits.
ReplyDeleteThe quote in the first paragraph where is goes "...is..." that looks kind of weird but other than that great job!
ReplyDeleteI liked how you used other resources in the first paragraph. I also like the layout of the paper. Well done! The only thing I would suggest is adding more research about woman and how they are suffering from eating so much fast food.
ReplyDeleteI thought this was a great start. You may want to use more numbers, absolute facts. I thought you did a good job defining your objectives.
ReplyDeleteYour quotes were really great in the paper, and you did great job at clearly stating your objectives.
ReplyDeleteI do like it. The main body of the text is there, the extra information can be gleaned from this website, it is a PDF: http://ajph.aphapublications.org/cgi/reprint/88/2/277
ReplyDeleteanyways, look at the graph mainly on the second page, it sahows that higher income women eat less fast food and have a lower body mass index because of it, also it shows that higher income women 35 to 40 are less likely to eat fast food than men, and younger women. They are concerned about their health, for example it says men eat 2.2 meals/week at fast food, while middle ated women eat 1.5 meals/week. Thanks Rachelle
